With a stellar performance at Manchester City, that has seen him bag 15 trophies, Pep Guardiola is a top priority hire as the next Englands men national team manager.
The football association is flirting with the idea of having Pep Guardiola as the next England men’s national team manager. The position fell vacant after immediate former boss Gareth Southgate stepped down following their EURO 2024 2-1 loss to Spain.

Southgate had been at the helm of the three lions for eight years.
The FA that is hell bent on bringing Pep on board will however, have to wait for Peps contract with English premier league side Manchester city to laps. According to reports, the FA is exploring the option of employing an interim coach to take over the role until Pep is available.
The City manager is expected to leave Manchester City at the end of next season. Pep has had a tremendous stint at Man City bagging 15 trophies.
Other coaches being floated for the position include England’s women manager Sarina Wiegman, Eddie Howe, Graham potter and England’s U21 manager Lee Carsley.
While any of these coaches could land an interim position, Pep Guardiola is the FAs preferred manager.
